LRP Zip-Hoodie - size XXL

The new LRP Star WorksTeam Zip Hoodie is now available and brings one of the most iconic design elements in LRP history into a modern, everyday-ready form.

The history of the LRP star:

Back then, we at LRP were looking for a design that would truly stand out and create strong recognition. Why we ultimately chose a star is hard to explain in retrospect. The final star design was inspired by a price star from an Aldi flyer - unconventional, direct, and eye-catching. The very first shirts were airbrushed by RC legend Thomas Peter from CARS & Details.

This shirt was worn by Jürgen when he won the European Championship in 1990. Enhanced with stickers from his other sponsors, it became a unique piece and an authentic part of LRP racing history.

The next step was a commercially available printed version. These star shirts were produced by our friend John Shaw in the United Kingdom and quickly found their place within the RC scene.

When Jürgen’s son Moritz later entered RC racing seriously, he also wanted to represent the star - but without the original pink color. Through Markus Eisenhuth, a long-time LRP user and now a world-renowned airbrush artist, the star was reinterpreted. Markus redesigned the star on Moritz’s body shell in a cleaner, more modern style.

The result convinced everyone at LRP immediately. The star had evolved - and this evolution led directly to today’s design.

The high-quality zip hoodie comes in the distinctive deep LRP Signature Rich Blue and features a white zipper that creates a strong visual contrast. Made from 42% cotton, 53% polyester, and 5% other fibers, it offers a balanced combination of comfort, durability, and shape retention.

The full-length zipper adds flexibility for everyday use and at the race track - whether worn open or fully closed.
