Jörn Neumann Joins LRP Racing Team!
LRP is proud to welcome world star racer Jörn Neumann to the LRP team!
Young offroad driver Jörn Neumann has been one of the hottest international stars on the R/C scene for the last years and is regarded as one of the best and most talented offroad drivers in the world.
Jörn has for a long time been running and supported by manufacturers like Orion, LOSI, Proline and Futaba. Now with immediate effect, the ambitioned German Champion and former European Champion makes the switch to the complete "Blue is Better" product line!
Jörn will begin the new season with the multiple national and international race winning LRP S8 BX Buggy. Jörn´s first test with his new car platform is already complete. At the end of 2009, Jörn attended the WC track for a warm-up event in Thailand as a preparation for the upcoming World Championship. Jörn´s performance at his first real chance to run his new LRP products is nothing less then phenomenal. Jörn powered his S8 BX offroad car with the LRP ZR.21X nitro engine and 1/8 OR Competition exhaust system. For best possible traction Jörn relies on VTEC offroad tyres in his quest for further international success!
Jörn Neumann will represent LRP at races all over the world as well as holding an important and fundamental role in our R&D design team when developing our future offroad cars, engines and tyres. Jörn has already been involved in the development of LRP new S8 BXe RTR car and the decision process of the DMC choosing JConcepts as the DMC-tyre for 1/10 electric offroad.

LRP asked Jörn a couple of question and this is what he had to say about joing LRP:
Despite winning the German Championship title in 2009, you will change to LRP and run the complete product line at the start of the new 2010 season. What was the deciding factor? What convinced you to change?
"I tested all the LRP products before i made my decision and that convinced me to 100%. An important factor in my decision was also the work and cooperation with the LRP team at races and in the development department."
Have you already collected any race experience with the S8 BX and the VTEC tyres? If so, what makes LRP products stand out against your previously equipment?
"Yes, I was in Thailand with LRPs 1/8 offroad team manager Moritz Gaul for a race on the World Championship 2010 track. The S8 BX team and the VTEC tyres worked immediately perfect. I noticed especially that the wear of the tyre is incredible low, nevertheless offering awesome traction.
Regarding radio and servos you also changed your equipment. From previously running Futaba you are now using Sanwa, the 2.4GHz-Specialist from Japan. When you compare, what is the most significant positive difference for you?
"The race in Thailand was the first time i tested the Sanwa M11X transmitter. I was incredibly impressed of how direct and responsive the transmitter was. Also the servos have been unbelievable strong and precise.
2009 was a really great racing year for you with (for example) the German Championship title. How does the future look like? What goals do you have for 2010?
"My goal for 2010 is to once again become European Champion and to reach the A-final at the 1/8 WC in Thailand.
