2016 ICC - Harper powers LRP to victory

24.02.2016
Elliott Harper took the win at the 2016 International Carpet Challenge, hosted this weekend at the well-known EWS venue in the south-east of the UK.

After five close qualifying rounds, Harper had secured the pole position after setting the fastest time in three of the rounds. The A Final would feature no less than five LRP powered cars.

Highlighting the international nature of the competition, the battle at the front was between Harper, multi-time ETS event winner Yannic Prumper, former LRP Masters winner Viljami Kutvonen and UK LRP drivers Kyle Branson and Olly Jefferies. In the first two A Finals, Elliott resisted early pressure from the world class field, before being able to open up a one-and-a-half second lead by the half distance marker, as the competition faded and Elliott was able to cruise home to victory in A1 and A2 to wrap up the title.
